President's Day Weekend

Friday, February 17th:

This fun and educational program will provide an introduction to the alpaca, covering topics such as alpaca vital statistics, types and personalities of alpacas, care and diet of alpacas, and alpaca fiber! A fiber craft will also be included and, of course, interaction with the alpacas! Our classroom and Farm Store are located in our barn. Size of group is limited to 12 participants and a maximum of 2 accompanying adults per each registered child. Ticket options include:

Child/Adult Participant Ticket: (includes fiber craft): $16

Accompanying Adult Ticket (for adults accompanying a child/craft not included): $8

Please note:

Space is limited and alpacas are gentle animals that can easily be overwhelmed, so we must limit accompanying adult attendance to two adults per registered child. In an effort to provide a focused learning environment, it is kindly requested that only children registered for the program are in attendance. Children must be at least 6 years of age.

Adults who wish to participate in the class (as opposed to simply accompanying a child) may purchase a $16 participant ticket, which includes the creation of the fiber craft, as well.

Save the Dates!

Bluebird Farm's Calendar of Events includes the following Open Farm Weekends (OFW), vendor fairs, and holiday shopping days. Please check back frequently for more detailed information as the dates approach!

July 20th and 21st the Farm will be closed

Starting July 27th - The farm will be going to a Reservation only system.

We are excited to announce that we are changing our program and plan to open on weekends beginning July 27. We will be offering Alpaca Farm Tours and Alpaca Farm Tours WITH Halter Training. Tours are $10 for adults and $5 for kids age 11 and under. Tours WITH Halter Training are $20 for adults and $10 for kids ages 8 - 11.

During your Farm Tour, a staff member will guide you through the Alpaca pens and fields. You will have multiple opportunities to feed, feel and photograph the alpacas.

If you make a reservation in advance for Halter Training, you will take the Tour with a staff member, AND take an alpaca for a walk through the fields or woods using a halter and lead line!

You must Book a Visit in advance for a Farm Tour or Halter Training and visit the farm during the following time periods.

10:00am - 12:00pm

12:00pm - 2:00pm

2:00pm - 4:00pm

When you arrive at the farm you will need to check in with the Farm Coordinator to arrange for your Tour and/or Halter Training. Each activity lasts approximately 30 -40 minutes. Please plan to arrive early enough to allow enough time to complete your Tour and/or Halter Training, prior to the end of the time period.
